Dear Parents,

Welcome back to another great year at our truly unique neighborhood school!

We all know how fortunate we are to live and raise our kids in this wonderful area. We should all know, as well, that one of the best things about our community is our local public school.  What makes this school so capable, special, and truly unique is the phenomenal commitment displayed each year by YOU—parents of the children who attend this fine school—via the Education Foundation.

This year we will continue to develop and promote the successful “Five-Star Education” program initiated last year, aimed at assisting and enhancing the education provided by the school district.  Starting with the parent information card enclosed in your registration packet and continuing over the course of the year, you will hear about how your contributions are delivering a Five-Star Education to your children.  As fellow parents, we think you’ll be very excited about what we are accomplishing in five key academic areas.

The cost of the Five-Star Education program for 2009/2010 is $800,000, and comprises 8% of the school’s total budget.  The Education Foundation’s ability to make the necessary grant each year depends on the generous participation of as many families as possible at appropriate Annual Contribution levels.  Additionally, the school administration’s ability to make long-term commitments to teachers and programs depends on a consistent base of multi-year pledges at the Scholar’s Circle Level.

Last year over 80% of the school’s families and over 80% of the school’s faculty, along with members of the Rancho Santa Fe community, contributed to the RSFEF—further ensuring a high-quality educational experience for our children.

A Contribution Form is provided on the back of the parent information card. Please make your Contribution or Pledge today, at whatever level is appropriate for you, and please be as generous as possible.  In these times of strained state budgets and school funding restrictions, our financial support of our local school is more critical than ever.
