Grade 8 only (Enrichment)
This course focuses on evolution, classification, distribution, behavior, physiology and ecology of mammals. Students will examine and analyze anatomical features of local mammal specimens, explore connections between structure, function and habitat, and analyze the status of endangered mammals worldwide. They will create an oral presentation on an order of the class Mammalia, construct a mammal evolution timeline, and publish artwork on a mammal order or family of choice.
